Fire performance
Classification and test standard from the exact fabric data card or certificate.
TECHNICAL LIBRARY / 02
Colour is only one decision. Commercial selection can involve fire performance, openness, optical and solar values, cleaning, composition, width and room-darkening requirements.
Visual textures explain fabric categories only. Project colour and finish are approved from physical samples and current manufacturer data.
Classification and test standard from the exact fabric data card or certificate.
Material composition, coating and nominal mass where supplied.
For screen fabrics, the proportion of open area and its effect on view-through and glare.
Visible-light transmission, reflection and absorption for the selected colour where published.
Solar transmission, reflection, absorption and supporting performance data where published.
Transparent, screen, dimout or blackout fabric—kept separate from whole-system room darkening.
Cleaning method and any antimicrobial, low-emissivity or specialist coating evidence.
Usable fabric width, colour reference and batch/sample approval before order.
FIRE PERFORMANCE
Framework will identify the exact fabric, classification, test method and supporting supplier document offered for the project. A rating for one fabric, coating or colourway must not be silently applied to another.
Any requirement in an employer's specification remains subject to review against the selected product evidence.
